I had fun with this one!

I'm reading a book on Dada so what came to mind with the theme of 'skyline' was a series of skyscrapers collaged out of randomly sliced up columns of text. I thought if I could find different densities of text it would create a sense of variation in the buildings. Then I thought, hell to be truly in keeping with the Dada spirit I'll just pick a magazine or catalog from random from the recycle bin use whatever I find. The more incongruous the subject is with 'skyline' the better. (Un)fortunately, I pulled at random, a catalog of window coverings, which when sliced out of context are almost embarrassingly congruous with the subject. It's almost meta-Dada.

Nice to break out the watercolor after all this time pushing pixels. I had a load of fun with this one, even though I didn't really get it to a decent finish. I like the warmish quality that gives the image a nostalgic feel, but I think it's lacking a cool balance. Looking forward to the next word.
